DESCRIPTION: Prentiss Improvement Clock Co., New York, "Empire with Calendar", 30 day, wall calendar timepiece, single winding arbor winds both springs at the same time, c1897
CONDITION: Mahogany case in original finish with the company name and the number "5004" stamped in the bottom front of the case. Based on the color of the case someone a long time ago cut out a small section of the case at the bottom probably to make it easier to slip the case off. A large portion of the original dial has flaked off and now has varnish coating to protect what is left. The calendar wheels are very clean. There is a bag of day plates in the case that are not currently mounted in the day rollers. Date movement assembly has the number 2484 stamped on it. Ht 37"
